Further reading for Fred and Rose West
Revisiting an early episode, The Boys take us back to England for another look at one of the grimiest, nastiest horror stories in the history of crime. This is the story of murder/rape couple, Fred and Rose West. They are the exact opposite of Starkweather and Fugate and are a thousand times worse than Bernardo and Homolka. They are the fucking worst and their story is a horror story unlike most. This is a series that you can practically smell.
Fred West was a violent moron rapist for whom no one was off limits. Rose was his sex worker wife who was more than happy to play along and brutalize his victims. She even had her own victims. By the time the cops caught up to them Fred would be charged with 12 murders and Rose 9, but the true number of their victims is still unknown but is believed to be over 30. They are on the level of the far more notorious English killer couple, Ian Brady and Myra Hindley, and are absolutely nightmare material.
Like the utter piece of shit that he is, Fred couldn’t face jail time and committed suicide by asphyxiation before he could be sentenced. He left behind a love letter to his wife because he is an unbelievable moron, like a character out of A Clockwork Orange. Rose still sits in a cell at New Hall. In 2014, as he was ramping up for another run at the presidency, Donald Trump was tricked into retweeting a well-known photo of them under the pretenses of them being big fans. It was hilarious because he is a stupid, stupid man.
