Info

The Hudson Valley UFO sightings took place across 13 years, beginning in 1983 and petering out by 1995. during that time, literally thousands of witnesses in Westchester County, north of New York City, reported seeing a massive boomerang-shaped craft floating across a heavily populated suburb. Motorists along local highways reported a drifting craft the size of a football field and engineers at the nearby Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant reported the craft coming to a halt over the reactor and averting a core meltdown. Workers within the plant report having seen small beings inside the plant at the time that the boomerang was over the plant.

The UFO sightings are just one of many UFO flaps around North America coinciding with either nuclear weapons or nuclear energy. Numerous reports of high weirdness, consistent with the findings of UFOlogist, Jacques Vallee are also reported to have happened during this span of time.

The event was covered extensively by UFO researchers, J. Allen Hynek (formerly of the United States government’s Project Blue Book), Philip J. Imbrogno (who turned out to be more trouble than he was worth), and nuclear physicist/sexy UFO dude, Stanton Friedman. This series of sightings bears much in common with the phenomenon known as The Phoenix Lights, when a boomerang-shaped craft was spotted by thousands of witnesses, hovering over Phoenix, New Mexico.
