Incident at Devils Den, a true story by Terry Lovelace, Esq.
The Incident at Devil’s Den is a case of UFO abduction that took place in 1977 when Terry Lovelace and a friend were camping at the Devil’s Den campground in the Ozarks. Both men were abducted by a triangle-shaped craft and when the episode had ended, both intended to remain silent about what had happened to them. Lovelace kept the secret for nearly forty years when an x-ray related to an injury sustained while running revealed that he had a piece of metal embedded in it. There was no scar. Terry had received no surgery. There was no indication of how anything might had gotten there but there it was. It brought up memories from his childhood of visitations in the night from men who resembled monkeys. They had been visiting Terry since he was a child and intermittently as an adult, putting together a pattern of visitations and periodic abductions throughout his entire life.
Terry Lovelace is like most abductees. Our regular mental image of experiencers and abductees is often that of a raving maniac with a tin foil hat but this is not accurate. Those who have come forward have shown themselves to be ordinary people with regular lives and their experiences with these abductions have been extremely traumatic and often ruined their lives, refer to episodes about Betty and Barney Hill and Travis Walton for examples. In the time since his abductions, Terry Lovelace studied to become a lawyer and ended up as Assistant Attorney General for the state of Arkansas. He kept his story a secret until only recently in order to keep his job and not ended up sacked and labeled a maniac.
