Picture Perfect: The Jodi Arias Story: A Beautiful Photographer, Her Mormon Lover, and a Brutal Murder by Shannah Hogan

I cannot tell you how badly I wanted to post a picture of Jodi’s butthole for the article image but thank God, good taste prevails.

Jodi Arias and murder of Travis Alexander runs neck and neck with the case of Casey Anthony as the two shocking crimes which gripped America’s true crime consciousness in the earliest years of the 21st century following the low years of post-OJ burnout. It had everything you could want in a salacious murder trial: an alluring psychopath that played the media, shocking courtroom antics, nude photos, multi-level marketing, anal sex, and Mormons! But at the root of this story is, in fact, the sad tale of a man who picked the wrong woman to be a fuck buddy and the price he paid for getting involved with Jodi Arias, a seriously deranged individual.

Travis Alexander was attacked in the shower of his Mesa, Arizona home by his on-again-off-again girlfriend, Jodi Arias. For a period of about eighteen months, the two had been seeing each other in a long distance relationship between California and Arizona, The relationship was mostly sexual, with Jodi, an overbearing lunatic, wanting a real relationship, and Travis, a Mormon who struggled with his faith’s attitudes toward premarital sex while entranced by Jodi’s willingness to do whatever he wanted, sexually, in order to satisfy her deranged need to be with Travis. Their chemistry couldn’t possibly have been any more toxic than it was. So much so, in fact, that when the murder investigation began, Jodi immediately fell under the police’s suspicions since everyone who knew them assumed that she had murdered Travis due to her very public displays of utterly insane behavior in their time together.

It all culminated in a tragic murder that led to a seedy, gross criminal trial with twists and turns and strange turns of story, as Jodi initially tried to sell a story of a home invasion before settling on self-defense against an abusive boyfriend. Surprising absolutely no one, these defenses failed spectacularly.
