Cemetery Stories: Haunted Graveyards, Embalming Secrets, and the Life of a Corpse After Death by Katherine Ramsland

Listen. Magic is awesome, ya heard? There’s so much of it out there and so much to study and this writer’s particular favorite kind involves necromancy. Necromancy is magic which involves the dead. The dead know a lot of cool shit and are definitely a forced to be tapped into. There’s also a lot of other spiritual energies beyond the veil worth tapping into and they also fall under this category. Want to know something from the distant past that the living just aren’t able to tell you? Evoke the spirit of a dead person from that era. Want to spook the hell out of someone you don’t particularly like? The dead are just hanging out, man. They want something to do. Set them loose on this enemy of yours. This is a bit of a companion episode for the LPotL Magic Series episodes, Right Hand, Left Hand, and Chaos Magic.

On the flipside:

This episode isn’t necessarily just about magical workings of the dead, though. It’s also also about necrophilia which is, well, it’s not magic. It’s a sexual excitement that comes from an attraction to the dead. It’s also called thanatophilia, but that’s a real mouthful and it’s just easier to say necrophilia and go through all the difficulty involved in procuring a dead body or a person willing to be like a dead body so that you, the necrophile, can have a bit of a time with said dead body. If that’s what you’re into.
